Scientific Degree: professor of Department of Applied
Mathematics (2011).
Area of Scientific Research: construction and justification of the compact
difference schemes of high accuracy order for nonlinear boundary value problems
on finite intervals and half-axis for ordinary
differential equations and their systems.
Work
position: Leading Researcher
of the Department of Numerical Methods in Mathematical Physics.
The
obtained results are presented in more than 120 scientific publications: 1 monograph, 79 articles in scientific journals.
Prof. Kutniv
M.V. was awarded with a N.N. Krylov prize of National
Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2016
for a series of papers of "Mathematical models, numerical and
analytical-numerical methods for nonlinear problems that arise in the theory of
physical fields of different origin".
Prof. Kutniv
M.V. leads graduate students and applicants preparation for scientific academic
degrees. Three PhD theses were successfully prepared and defended under a
supervision of Kutniv M.V.
Prof. Kutniv
M.V. is a member of the Specialized Academic Council D 35.051.07 at the Ivan Franko
Lviv National University.
